Since it opened in October 2015, Aungier Danger has enjoyed a meteoric rise in Dublin. On the first day the company ran out of three days worth of stock by 1pm. Such was the success that it was invited to run a pop-up at Arnotts, gaining a permanent position at the department store thereafter. Those who questioned whether or not this was just a fad, have been left with doughnut, on their face so to say.
Aungier Danger has a unique selling point: it opens early and stays open until the doughnuts sell out. Some days this may mean having to close the shutters around lunchtime, other days it may be closer to 7pm or 8pm. "The name is kind of cheeky and a little bit bold, as for the sold out concept, that was the goal - to have them actually sell out - but we never set it up presuming we'd do it."
